Welcome to my Website
I am a retired marine biologist and Christmas tree farmer living on Seabrook Island in coastal South Carolina. Growing up in Lexington, Kentucky, I attended Lafayette High School (class of 1961). After spending two years at Fort Knox, Ky. and Fort Chaffee, Ark. (400th Regiment, 100th Division) I attended the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University, graduating in 1964. I received a master's degree in marine biology in 1966 from the University of Delaware. Employed by the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia and working out of a small research laboratory in Benedict, Maryland, I studied Chesapeake Bay fish populations associated with nuclear and fossil fuel electrical power plants for the next nine years. In 1977, I moved to Charleston, South Carolina, with my wife (Marty) and two children (Wendy and Joe). I spent the next 28 years working in fisheries management with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. In 1986 I purchased 50 acres of land near Hollywood, South Carolina where I built and operated a cut-your-own Christmas Tree farm for the next 18 years. Retiring in 2005 I moved to Seabrook Island, SC, just south of Charleston and have renewed my interest in wildlife photography.
I hope you enjoy my website. Please utilize the email link on my Home page for any comments, questions and in particular should you care to purchase one of these photographs.
